Billabong’s Design for Humanity

Now in its 5th year, Design For Humanity is Billabong’s charitable initiative which has become an opportunity not only for Billabong but for retailers, athletes, celebrities, artists and ultimately attendees to give back.

All proceeds are being donated to The VH1 Save the Music Foundation who are dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in public schools. To date, the Foundation has provided more than $47 million in new musical instruments to 1,750 public schools in more than 100 cities, impacting the lives of over 1.6 million children.

Color Moves: Art and Fashion by Sonia Delaunay

Whether you are or are not familiar with artist Sonia Delaunay (November 14, 1885 – December 5, 1979), you are in for a treat. A forerunner of the Orphism Movement, Delaunays body of work spans from paintings in bright, bold Cubist colors to textile and set design. Thanks to the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, who recently housed a Delaunay exhibit, we can show those who cant come to New York City an insiders view of the retrospective!

Sonia Delaunay was the first living female artist to have a retrospective at the Louvre in 1964.
